Circle of Care is unforgettable – I got to know Circle of Care as a referral from the community where I reside. They took care of my husband 24/7 for 3 years. It has been over 2 years since he passed but the memories of how the caregivers cared for him with dignity and compassion is unforgettable. Their admin office is also very responsible. They took the weight off me in managing the caregivers’ schedules and constantly updating the plan of care. They are also very knowledgeable and rich in resources. Circle of Care made the world of difference – I needed a caregiver for my sister who was rapidly declining but strongly resisted the idea of being cared for by anybody. You can feel the good culture where there is coordination among team members – I had 3 other agencies who took care of my wife before I was introduced to Circle of Care in my search for better service. They go above and beyond expectations – My Mom’s health was declining and during this pandemic, we were concerned about bringing in outside help. As a business owner and an only son, my plate is full, and I can’t provide the care my Mom needs. I called my neighbor who had caregivers for his parents and he highly recommended Circle of Care who cared for his parents for 5 years. He mentioned that they delivered exactly what he needed, and everything went smoothly for all those 5 years and if there were issues, the company was quick to resolve. That’s all I needed to hear. They were there when I needed them most – This pandemic brought my Mom to deep depression. Since I have a busy household, I refrained from visiting her with the fear that I might unknowingly bring COVID to her. I constantly checked on her thru phone calls and I was noticing an increased confusion and disorientation. With my worry, I visited and found her deeply asleep. She had labored breathing and lost at least 15 pounds. I called 911 and she was rushed to ER. 2 days later she was discharged as hospice patient and the nurses gave me a list of referrals for homecare. I interviewed several and decided to hire Circle of Care because they were the most compassionate people I have spoken to. They walked me through and patiently explained the difference between hospice and homecare, expectations in each service, equipment, supplies to the smallest details which was extremely helpful. I couldn’t stand seeing my Mom go but the Caregivers assigned to her never left her side. They were holding her hand until she was gone. Their presence and compassion made a meaningful difference to our family. I sincerely thank them for those 5 unforgettable days. They were there when I needed them most.

Circle of Care are angels, true gift to our family and my forever friend – My Dad was hospitalized during the height of the pandemic and being away from home without seeing us made him seriously decline. He was moved to a rehab where he showed no interest to participate in any rehabilitation activities. In preparation to bringing him home, My Mom hired the agency recommended by the nurses, but my Mom didn’t feel good about her decision, so she called other friends who recommended Circle of Care. They took the time to listen to my Dad’s situation and gave their recommendations. By nick of time, we had our Dad out of rehab to home under hospice care. Contrary to Doctor’s diagnosis, my Dad comfortably live for another 2 months. Just enough time to give everybody in our family closure. I can never thank Circle of Care enough. They are angels. They are experts. They are compassionate. They are a true gift to our family and most of all, they are sincere at making a meaningful difference to the families they cross paths with. My Dad passed 6 months ago but Circle of Care is my forever friend.

I’ve known Circle of Care for 20 years when my husband battled terminal cancer at a young age. My family was overwhelmed with sadness, worry, and grief, but they took time understanding our situation and provided us with a lot of support and resources. They paired my husband with a caregiver named Rick who was a retired pastor. Rick was caring, respectful, fun and knew what he was doing. He was a calming effect to my husband who was withdrawn, had severe mood swings, angry, and suffered an agonizing pain. For the few months that Rick cared for him, he got him to relax. He was empathetic as my husband opened up about his fears. His friendship with Rick grew, and it lifted his spirits. As a result, he was happier around us and was communicating more. The quality time we spent before he died was the closure any family could only hope for, and Rick’s kindness and expertise made it happen. To express my gratitude to Circle of Care, I’ve been rewarding them with referrals. They took care of 2 neighbors with dementia, a colleague who had hip replacement, in-laws with Parkinson’s, an uncle with Alzheimer’s, co-worker’s mom who needed hospice care, a friend who needed assistance with errands and appointments, and another neighbor who simply needed companionship. We are a community who wants to express our gratitude to the unmatched care and attention provided by Circle of Care, and we want more people to know about them. It’s true that I never expected the level of care I found at Circle of Care. Somehow Cheri Platte, her staff and team of excellent Care Givers have been able to provide a level of authentically personal accommodation which have my admiration and deepest gratitude. In the more than three years I’ve been in Cheri’s care I must admit I can report only the highest quality, caring relations with every one of the (mostly female) caregivers Cheri chose to send me. Conditions have changed at our house, and Cheri has met each change with an easy flexibility which made the various changes – medical, social and personal – as easily as possible under the circum- stances. My father was suffering from stage 4 cancer and soon was too ill to live alone. We did not want to move him from his home where he was the most comfortable. This meant that my brother and I would have to stay with him. After a few weeks it became apparent that we needed help. We had tried a company recommended by our social worker and it wasn't the match we were hoping for. There were several times that I received calls stating that the caregiver had called in sick and there was not enough staff to cover the shift. That effectively left me "high and dry". When you are exhausted this adds to your emotional burden. When sharing my frustration with a friend, she recommend Circle of Care. I called and Cheri was there to lighten my load. She arranged for consistency in caregivers and well as reliability. I could rely on the fact that same caregivers were coming, thus allowing them to understand my dad's routines and needs. There was no rotation of new and ever-changing folks coming, which was a source of fear for my father. I also did not suffer from the "high and dry" syndrome. When there was an issue, I got a phone call explaining it and told who would be covering for that person. Although I will say that only happened once, and that was so that our caregiver could attend the 100th birthday party of one of his other patients. This was such a blessing for my family. Circle of Care was with us until the very end, making a very difficult situation easier. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with caring for a loved one, as a matter of fact I have recommended them. Knowing your loved one is cared for and safe when you need help is an invaluable gift.

Hi Cheri, Leslie and I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all that Riezle does for our mother. She always keeps us apprised of Mom’s condition which has been deteriorating lately. Based on our own observations and also based on what Riezle has been telling us regarding Mom’s eating habits, Riezle took her to the doctor today for a scheduled appointment. I asked Riezle to take notes so that we would be aware of Mom’s conditions as assessed by the doctor. She related her notes back to Leslie and Les was impressed with what a good job she did. We will be implementing the changes her doctor recommended and hope she will start feeling better. Riezle also makes the effort to take Mom on outings to the beach which mom loves, once she is actually there. Riezle listens to our suggestions and implements them as well. She leaves notes for Mom about the food in the refrigerator and on the counter, which seem to be working. We know our mother can be difficult at times, so appreciate the efforts Riezle has made to help Mom adjust to her new life without Dad. I was coming home from hospital after being treated for cancer. I was weak and afraid but needed to choose the right caregiver who will care for me at home. The caregivers worked well as a team which is important to avoid drama. They are also very accommodating and able to anticipate our every need. Circle of Care is not a big company, but they are very efficient and dependable. Circle of Care has this program called “Distance Care”. This is ideal for family members who are away from their ailing loved ones and I took advantage of that when my mom was hospitalized, and I could not leave work. Circle of Care assisted me when she was being discharged and they had a caregiver waiting for her at home who stayed until she was better. They took charge of prescription, grocery shopping, errands, follow-up doctor’s visit, therapy and I was updated regularly. This set-up alleviated me from feeling guilty that I couldn’t be there for her, but both my mom and I agreed that they did a better job. It’s important that my mom was extremely happy. As my mom recovered, I continued to hire their services for part time care. I will never hire any other company.

The caregivers that they assigned to my mother are exceptional individuals. They are gentle, loving and always happy. If you can find a reliable care provider, allowing your loved one to stay at home is still a better choice compared to nursing home, assisted living or board and care facilities because of many reasons. Hands down the best home care I found in looking for a solution for my 97-year-old father who is totally bed-ridden and needed full time care.

Mom’s caregivers provide loving companionship, medication reminders, and transportation to doctor appointments, church, and shopping. They proactively provide nutritious meals and snacks and encourage her to get enough hydration and exercise.
